It is a machine tool that, through the controlled abrasion of a rotating wheel, achieves perfectly flat surfaces with a precision finish on metal, cast iron, concrete or other materials.
In a fixed table grinding machine the workpiece stays still under the wheel, suitable for die-shop parts and punches. In a swivel table machine the table movement is synchronised with the grinding head, for large surfaces. In a rotary table machine the workpiece rotates under the wheel, ideal for round surfaces of notable diameter.
Each grinding machine is supplied complete with wheel holder and cup wheel, semi-automatic diamond dresser, cooling system, instruction manual and service keys.
Magnetic chucks (fixed, neodymium or electro-permanent), self-centering chucks, tiltable universal bases, sine tables, squares for grinding concrete or blades, diamond, CBN or concrete-grinding wheels.
Thanks to the recovery of wear on the vertical translation screw (via the opposite bronze nuts) and the re-alignment of the wheel motor with the registration dowels, present on every model.
The R.V. 500 grinding machine with fixed table is suitable for grinding single or serial die-shop parts and punches, thanks to the 300 mm distance between wheel and base that allows working on parts of notable height.
The C.S.E. 500 grinding machine is a variant of the R.V. 500 but features a longer column, supported by four bearings and reinforced by a sturdy column support, to grind parts of notable height with precision.
It is particularly suitable for grinding single or serial die-shop parts, tools, punches and gears of notable height, thanks to its rigidity and geometric stability.
The S.P. 500 grinding machine can grind surfaces up to 210x520 mm, thanks to the 300 mm wheel diameter, also suitable for cylinder heads, tools and plates.
Its innovative feature is the synchronisation between the table movement and the manual movement of the grinding head, which allows full use of the wheel's work field on surfaces up to 600x300 mm.
The first O.M.N. swivel table grinding machine model was exhibited in April 1982 at the Milan Exhibition, which classified it among the "Highlighted Novelties".
The T.R. 450 is automated: table speed is variable from 2 to 17 rpm depending on material hardness, and the micrometric feed stops automatically at zero.
